Mileage is determined from our location at 700 York Road, Dover, PA 17315.

Yes, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of your total order is required to secure your order and date. This deposit covers the initial costs of materials and secures our time for your event. Once the deposit is paid, the date is locked in for your special occasion. Any remaining balance is due at the time of pick up for orders under $100. For those over $100, payment is due a week in advance of your scheduled pick-up.

If the final payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your order.

Changes may be possible, depending on the complexity and timeframe. However, significant changes may incur additional costs. Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss any potential changes.

Changes to the date of your pick-up could be refused based on the schedule of the day you are requesting.

We accept cash, credit cards, venmo, and cashapp.

A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure your custom order. This deposit covers the initial costs associated with your cake.  If you cancel your order, the 50% deposit will be retained.

We do understand that unforeseen circumstances arise. If you cancel 10 days or more before the scheduled pickup/delivery date, we may offer a partial refund or store credit for any additional payments made beyond the deposit, on a case-by-case basis.

Cancellations made within 5 days of the scheduled pickup/delivery date may not be eligible for any further refunds, but we will do our best to find a mutually agreeable solution.

Cake Care Instructions

Thank you for choosing Queen Bee Cakery for your special cake! To ensure your cake looks and tastes as amazing as it did when you picked it up, please follow these care instructions.

1. Transporting Your Cake

  • Level Surface: Always transport the cake on a flat, non-slip surface      in your vehicle. The floor of the car is often better than a seat to keep      it stable.
  • Avoid Slipping: Place a non-slip mat or towel under the cake box to      prevent it from sliding during transport.
  • Drive Carefully: Take sharp turns slowly and avoid sudden braking to      prevent any shifting of the cake.
  • Cool Environment: If possible, keep your car cool. Warm temperatures      can cause the frosting or decorations to melt.

2. Storing Your Cake

  • Refrigeration: Refrigeration is necessary for Buttercream or Fondant Cakes.
  • Storage:     Keep your cake in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, especially      if the cake is covered in fondant. Buttercream cakes should be      refrigerated but should be taken out 1-2 hours before serving to reach      room temperature.
  • Covering: Keep the cake in its box until ready to display. This      protects it from dust, odors, and accidental bumps.
  • Do Not Freeze: Cakes covered with fondant or detailed decorations      should not be frozen, as this may damage the texture and design.

3. Serving Your Cake

  • Room Temperature: Most cakes taste best at room temperature. If the      cake was refrigerated, allow enough time for it to warm up slightly before      serving:
    • Buttercream       or Fondant Cakes: Take       the cake out of the refrigerator 1-2 hours before serving.
  • Slicing: For clean slices:
    • Use       a sharp, long knife and wipe it clean between cuts.
    • For       multi-tiered cakes, remove the top tier and slice it separately.
  • Portion Size: A typical serving size is about 1x2 inches for      wedding cakes or 2x2 inches for party cakes. Adjust based on the number of      guests and the size of the cake.

4. Leftovers

  • Storage: Wrap leftover cake slices tightly in plastic wrap or      place them in an airtight container. Store buttercream cakes at room      temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for up to 5 days. Refrigerate      cakes with cream, fruit, or custard fillings.
  • Freezing: For longer storage (up to 3 months), freeze leftover      cake slices. Wrap each slice in plastic wrap, followed by a layer of foil,      and store in an airtight container. Let the cake thaw at room temperature      for a few hours before enjoying.

Final Acceptance

Once the cake is picked up and leaves our premises in good condition, we consider the cake to be final and no longer under the responsibility of our bakery. We take great care in preparing and packaging your cake for transport, and we highly recommend inspecting it before leaving the bakery to ensure it meets your expectations.

After the cake has left our bakery, we cannot be held liable for any damages that occur during transport, improper storage, or handling. Thank you for your understanding!
